Title Sequence - Test

I have created a sample title sequence of how I think it should be in the final film. I have used free stock footage and royalty free music from the internet and created it in Premiere Pro.
I was inspired by two title sequences from Alfred Hitchcock films - Psycho and Vertigo.
I used the white bars to create a strong contrast over the black and white background, which utilises Film Noir iconography as they are similar to the effect that venetian blinds give - which is extremely common in noir films.
The flickering of the man on the actual film draws inspiration from another genre that we are influenced by - Thriller.
The flickering of the man gives the impression that he is losing touch with himself. This fits a theme in our film as we explore the human condition and obsession, also the blending of two 'worlds', so to speak.
As this is only at test, certain elements will be changed when we create a title sequence in our final film. For example, we will have our own footage to use for the intro - rather than stock footage. It was very limiting creatively to use stock footage as I had to search for a long time to find something that was suited to the tone even a little bit.
Also, the music shall be different - more ominous and unnerving - to fit more of a thriller style. I chose the music in this test sequence to create a full on Film Noir tone, using 1950's style jazz.
